Over the past six months I have been working with Texture on reworking its processes and strategy to reflect our values. This extends to how we address: Onboarding, Induction, Probationary, Offboarding Processes, Career Planning and Recruitment.

We worked to understand exactly what our recruitment and go to market is for potential consultants as well as devising a step by step screening process for candidates. Which of course, must reflect our values. Our interview approach also reflects the six attributes that we consider essential for the Texture Team, especially when consultants are out representing our company on client sites:

I believe these attributes are fundamental to being a great consultant!

Our recruitment process involves becoming familiar with candidates from an HR perspective, a technical perspective and a consultant perspective and each of these discussions are led by a Texture Subject Matter Expert in that field. Ultimately, we want our consultants to go the extra mile and think outside of the box. This, amongst many things, is where Texture differentiates itself from our competitors.

Career planning is a key deliverable at Texture Consulting. I believe it is fundamental to the growth and development of our employees. Together we develop a strategic action plan with our consultants aimed to further broaden skills and add new capabilities – all of which is of course, an added benefit for our clients.

I know our People and Culture processes and strategy will continue to improve. Because as our ‘people’ change and the ‘culture’ around us changes, so will our processes and practices throughout. I look forward to continuing to support our clients, consultants and the world around us.
